U11 Bowie Burn Play Tough at Williamsburg Cup

The Bowie Burn U11 boy’s soccer team played well in the premier division in the Williamsburg Cup. The Bowie Burn, coached by Allison Brown, advanced to the semi- finals but lost in a tough game. In the Bowie Burn’s first game they overcame the Newport News United Knights. The knights scored early in the first half. Then Jake Sodeman scored with a beautiful shot off an assist by Shakiel Douglas. Late in the first half Patrick DeLeonibus scored a beautiful free kick, which buried itself in the top left corner of the net for a goal. In the second half Jacob Adomanis scored off a tremendous penalty kick. Also playing well were Daniel Lynch, Bobby McGowan, Jared Utley, Silas Schaeffer, Sean O’Malley, Cameron Bennett, Daniel Thomas, Garrett Lee, Tucker Canfield, Ben Kovalick, John Dustin, Michael Boushell and Michael Simms.
